MELTING TREATMENT METHOD FOR SHREDDER DUST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting treatment method for shredder dust, allowing stable operation by preventing the residence of tar components produced by carbonizing the shredder dust.

SOLUTION: The method using a shaft furnace type gasification melting furnace for treating the shredder dust comprises keeping an in-furnace atmospheric temperature at 550-650°C in the shaft furnace type gasification melting furnace 1 near a stock line SL for the shredder dust during operation. It is acceptable to blow air or oxygen into a treated object filled layer in the furnace through a tuyere 5 which is located close to the stock line SL for the shredder dust in the shaft furnace type gasification melting furnace 1 but does not exist beyond the stock line.
