PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video interphone system provided with a plurality of camera means, wherein a monitor television receiver can confirm visitor video images imaged by the plurality of camera means at the same time. SOLUTION: A control unit 1 includes: a camera attached intercome slave unit 4; an input terminal T1 for connection of a surveillance camera 5; a master unit connection terminal T2 for connection of a master unit 3; a camera of the intercome slave unit 4; a speech circuit thereof; a drive power supply circuit for supplying power to the surveillance camera 5; a video/speech control circuit for discriminating a call from the intercome slave unit 4 to supply power from the drive power supply circuit to the called intercome slave unit 4 and the surveillance camera 5, transmitting a visitor's video image and a supervisory video image to the master unit 3, and controlling transmission/reception of a voice signal for a speech between the both; and a video composite circuit for display on the master unit 3, and the video composite circuit generates a composite image wherein the visitor's video sent from the camera of the intercome slave unit 4 receiving the call is used for a main image and the supervisory video image sent from the surveillance camera 5 is used for a sub image.
