PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment with excellent operability for selecting a desired reduction system so as not to cause an unintended file margin area. SOLUTION: The communication equipment includes: a reduction means (101) for executing a plurality of reduction functions combined with reduction processes in the main scanning direction and the sub scanning direction for generating a file margin area; and a selection means (102) for selecting a reduction function corresponding to a desired file margin area among a plurality of the reduction functions by the reduction means (101).
