PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system capable of simply and accurately processing a connection request from a wireless terminal station not connected while ensuring communication quality of a wireless terminal station having already been connected. SOLUTION: The wireless communication system of this invention includes: a wireless terminal station 1 provided with wireless transmission/reception functions; and a wireless base station 2 capable of making wireless communication with the wireless terminal station 1. The wireless terminal station 1 has: a management section 11; a wireless communication processing section 12; a wireless mode storage section 13; a wireless mode selection section 14; and an antenna 15. The wireless base station 2 is provided with: a management section 21; a wireless communication processing section 22; a connection propriety discrimination section 23; and a wireless connection terminal management section 24. When the wireless terminal station 1 makes a connection request to the wireless base station 2, since the wireless terminal station 1 informs the wireless base station 2 about all of combination information of a service quality identifier, a modulation/demodulation system, and an error correction system, the wireless base station 2 can simply and accurately discriminate whether or not the connection of the wireless terminal station 1 is to be permitted.
