<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent X-ray leakage when no shield curtains are mounted, and reduce a cost increase. <P>SOLUTION: An X-ray inspection device comprises a casing 1 having openings 10 formed on a carrying path for carrying an article and hinged doors 11 set beside the carrying path, and enclosing the carrying path, an X-ray source 3 disposed in the casing 1, the shield curtains 51 disposed on the carrying path in the casing 1 to block leakage from the openings 10 of X-rays radiated by the X-ray source 3, and attachment mechanisms 54 for mounting the shield curtains 51 removably in the casing 1; and image-processes X-rays by the X-ray source past the carried article to inspect the article.
