摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication apparatus capable of securing quick transfer of an image from an imaging section when a user accesses the image communication apparatus via a network so as to ensure an excellent transmission frame rate in a moving picture.

SOLUTION: In the image communication apparatus including: an imaging section 4; an image signal encoding pre-processing section 5 for applying pre- processing for encoding to an image signal from the imaging section 4 to output image data; an image signal encoding section 6 having an encoding section applying compression processing to the image data to output image encoded data; a network interface section 16; and a control section 15 for controlling the entire image communication apparatus, the control section 15 applies optimum processing to the image signal or the image encoded data so that the amount of image encoded data outputted from the image signal encoding section to the network interface section 16 does not exceed a prescribed data amount and transmits the resulting signal or data to the network 3.
