PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecular electric wire that is formed of an environmentally benign ecological material and enables a microscopic wiring, a molecular electric wire circuit using the molecular electric wire and an effective method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The molecular electric wire is formed of an electroconductive material carried by a rod-shaped organic molecule. A molecular electric wire circuit uses the molecular electric wire. Further, in the method for manufacturing the molecular electric wire, a pattern is first formed on a substrate by way of lithographic method, and then rod-shaped organic molecules each having a bonding site that can be bonded to the pattern and carrying the electroconductive material are bonded to the pattern at a bonding sites.
