PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olefin polymerization catalyst having a high activity per titanium atom and a very high activity per unit catalyst amount, and also to provide a polyolefin production method using the catalyst ingredient. SOLUTION: The olefin polymerization catalyst comprises a solid catalyst ingredient [A] and an organometallic compound ingredient [B] and, the solid catalyst ingredient [A] is substantially prepared by carrying a titanium compound on a carrier, wherein the titanium compound is carried on the carrier by a reaction between the titanium compound and the organometallic compound. The olefin polymerization catalyst is obtained by combining a solid catalyst prepared by performing this carrying two times or more with a specific organometallic compound.
