EXPANSION DEVICE FOR BRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion device for a bridge, allowing great relative displacement in a vertical plane. SOLUTION: The expansion device 1 comprises a joint plate 21 connected between an expansion beam part 10, consisting of a comb beam 12 having a finger 12a and a stacking beam 11 from/into which the finger 12a is extracted/ inserted, and a floor panel 3 of the bridge via respective pivotally mounting mechanisms. The relative displacement in the axial direction of the bridge is allowed by the expansion beam part 10 and the relative displacement in the vertical plane is allowed by a vertical displacement beam part 20.
