PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact reflection damping amount measuring device and a measuring method therefor capable of easily measuring in a short time, providing excellent reproducibility and measurement precision, and providing measured values which agree to phenomenon, and having a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In this reflection damping amount measuring method for receiving reflection light generated when light coming out of a light source enters an object to be measured by a light detector to measure a reflection damping amount of the object to be measured, the light source consists of an ASE light source, and a light receiver consists of a measuring device for measuring optical power per wavelength.
