<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the placement of support members, for supporting a printed wiring board, on a support base. <P>SOLUTION: The surface of the support base 72 is formed of enamel, and the support surface 124 is an indication surface on which figures can erasably be drawn by a marker. The marker is moved by an XY-robot together with a mounting head and is moved up/down by a marker elevation unit. Support pin placement basic data and drawing data are created based on the design data of a printed circuit board. When the support pins are to be placed on the support base 71, the marker is moved to the positions where the support pins are to be placed and is made to draw the placement position indicating figures 250, 252, 254 on the indication surface 124 at the positions where the support pins are to be placed, and the operator places the support pins according to them. The placement positions may be indicated by irradiating the indication surface with a light beam, imaging the support base, placing indication pieces on a template, etc. The support pins may automatically be placed on the support base by utilizing support pin placement related data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
