PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developing electrophotographic device having a carrier removing process which can efficiently remove carrier liquid and is composed of an intermediate transfer body and a carrier removing roller. SOLUTION: The liquid developing electrophotographic device equipped with the intermediate transfer body which holds a color image and the carrier removing roller which abuts against the intermediate transfer body to remove excessive carriers form a toner layer formed on the intermediate transfer body is characterized in that the intermediate transfer body has a breakdown voltage resistant layer formed to cause no spark discharge even when applied with a high-voltage bias.
