PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a counter electrode of a transparent material on an organic LED layer without giving sputtering damage thereto. SOLUTION: This organic LED display device having a plurality of organic LED elements each consisting of a thin film transistor, a pixel electrode, at least an organic LED layer and the counter electrode laminated on a substrate comprises a polymer protecting layer formed between the counter electrode and the organic LED layer, the counter electrode being deposited by DC magnetron sputtering.
