PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve installability of a dynamic damper type damping device on an optical pickup. SOLUTION: At a periphery part of an objective lens holder 5 formed in a cylindrical form, an mounting bracket 2 which is formed in circular arc-like along the cylindrical periphery face of the lens holder and also formed to have an circular arc-like aperture part 21 at its upper part side, is set up. A dynamic damper 1 is set up which is formed with a damper side bracket 11 which has a tongue-like catching part 12 mounted on the aperture part 21 of the mounting bracket 2 and also has a damper base 111 to which a rubber-like elastic body 15 forming a spring system of the dynamic damper is mounted, a rubber-like elastic body 15 integrally mounted on the damper base 111, and a mass 13 which is integrally combined with the rubber-like elastic body 15 and has the prescribed mass. The catching part 12 of the dynamic damper 1 is mounted at the aperture part 21 of the mounting bracket 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
