PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disk drive which is capable of having a multiplicity of slits in order to realize scratch reproduction of high accuracy in spite of the operating dial of a small diameter and prevents the load being applied on an operating dial from being applied on a substrate. SOLUTION: A wheel having a shutter section is disposed at a point separate from a jog dial. The jog dial and the wheel are arranged like a concentric circle across a shaft and a bearing for holding the shaft is directly attached to the operating dial. Also, the shaft holding the jog dial by means of the bearing at a front panel is provided with a wheel formed to a diameter greater than the diameter of the jog dial on the other side and the wheel is provided with the shutter section of≥135 in the number of the slits per round of the wheel and control pulses can be outputted by a combination thereof with an optical sensor.
