PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault diagnostic device to which necessary information such as a defect phenomenon and an inspection result can easily be inputted with one hand without using a keyboard. SOLUTION: The fault diagnostic device A comprises a device body 1 with a touch screen 1a and an input pen 2 for inputting necessary information needed to the touch screen 1a, and on the touch screen 1a, inspection points, inspection items, etc., are read from data stored in an electronized manual data storage part and displayed. A person in charge of maintenance inputs data on the defect phenomenon, inspection result, etc., according to the displayed contents by using the input pen 2.
