PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distributing system capable of transmitting only the designated information of a desired web page to a portable terminal, when the information is updated, to prevent waste in communication charge. SOLUTION: A server 1 acquires the information from a contents providing system 115 creating the web page through Internet 3 by an information acquiring means 101. The acquired information is displayed on a web page displaying means 103, and an operator designates an area including the information to be distributed to a client 2 by a selected area designating means 104. The designated information is extracted by a designated information extracting means 105, the information extracted this time and the information extracted last time are compared, and the presence or absence of the update is detected by an update detecting means 107. When the update of the information extracted this time is detected, the distribution data is created by the distribution data creating means, and the distribution data is distributed to the client 2 through the Internet 3 by a distributing means 111.
