PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of hunting due to an excessive rotational speed of a motor, and to secure convergence responsiveness by feedback control in a device for driving a range selector valve with the motor. SOLUTION: A duty ratio of a motor driving signal is computed in response to a deviation between an actual position and a target position of the range selector valve. Rotational speed and rotation acceleration of the motor are detected, and an upper limit value MAX of the duty ratio is set on the basis of the detected rotational speed and the detected rotation acceleration. Rotational speed of the motor is restricted by limiting the feedback duty to the upper limit value or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
