PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liner plate for adjusting a gap which can adjust a gap between objects, supported by U bolts with a means that can be mounted both easily and quickly, a structure using the linear plate, plants of various types and a method for fixing them. SOLUTION: The linear plate for adjusting the gap has a curving groove, formed continuously in the direction intersecting with a groove opened on one side of a metal planar plate and a straight groove which open to a side orthogonal to the opened side and that the end of the curving groove is formed in the same direction as that of the straight groove and a structure where the objects are fixed onto prescribed support members via the plate for adjusting the gap, the plants of various types and the specific method for fixing them.
