PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable transfer of a luminous layer with low energy and prevent leakage between upper and lower electrodes. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing an organic LED element having an anode, a hole carrier layer, the luminous layer and a cathode laminated in sequence on a substrate comprises a step of transferring a layer to be transferred, previously having the luminous layer, onto the hole carrier layer, the hole carrier layer having such a melting point that it is softened by heat during transfer.
