PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing a reed switch in which generation of worn dusts is prevented by alleviating an impact force due to collision to a stopper, by temporarily stopping or decelerating a reed piece 1 which is carried at high speed within a pipe, in the vicinity of an exist of the pipe. SOLUTION: In a process for feeding the reed piece 1 which is carried within the pipe 5, the reed piece 1 is forced to temporarily stop or lower a carrying speed by a magnetic action in the vicinity of the exit of the pipe 5. Consequently, since the impact force due to the collision to the stopper can be alleviated, generation of worn dusts by the reed piece 1, etc., can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
