PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balance adjusting method for an automobile wheel and a device thereof capable of performing accurate balance adjustment of wheels of different types without applying complicated change to measurement arrangement. SOLUTION: The wheel fixed to a main shaft of a wheel balancer by tightening force on a drive side to prevent mutual rotation is accelerated up to a measurement revolution by drive torque and is braked by braking torque after performing the measurement rotation. The drive torque until the wheel reaches the measurement revolution and the braking torque after the measurement rotation are adjusted in accordance with type of the automobile wheel fixed to the main shaft to prevent mutual rotation.
