PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable insertion of a conjugation pipe without disassembling a pipe joint even if the pipe joint is in the temporarily assembled state, to prevent decentering of a rubber packing when inserting a pipe and to prevent water leakage even with slight tightening after insertion of the pipe. SOLUTION: In the seal structure of the pipe joint for sealing in which the conjugation pipe 1 without screw is inserted into the pipe or the joint body 2 having a tapered receiver portion 3 and an annular rubber packing 20 is inserted and fitted in the pipe or the joint body through a tightening means such as a push ring 7, the push ring 7 is fitted to the outer circumferential face of the receiver portion 3 of the joint body 2 and has a stepped portion 21 to be attached to the rear end of the rubber packing 20, and annular projecting and recess streaks 14 and 15 are provided in the direction of the axial line of the pipe 1 both at a portion of the rubber packing 20 in contact with the tapered receiver portion 3 of the pipe 1 or the joint body 2 and a tapered portion in contact with the tightening means such as the push ring 7.
