LUMINESCENT MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminescent material in which a fluorescent substance composed of a metal oxide-rare earth metal is uniformly dispersed into pores of a zeolite single crystal used as a matrix. SOLUTION: The luminescent material is obtained by carrying a complex of a metal oxide for the luminescent material and a rare earth metal for center of luminescence on the zeolite single crystal. The method for producing the luminescent material comprises impregnating an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble salt of a metal forming the metal oxide for the luminescent material and a water-soluble salt of the rare earth metal into the zeolite single crystal and drying the material and burning the dried material at 450-600°C.
