<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar lighting apparatus capable of suppressing occurrence of interference fringes. <P>SOLUTION: Light reflection pattern 19 consisting of groove-like prisms is formed in the axial direction of a light source 5 on an upper surface 15 of a plate-like light guide body 2. A reflection direction dispersing pattern 21 having some angle relative to the light reflection pattern 19 is formed on a lower surface 16 of the plate-like light guide body 2. The light emitted from the light source part 5 advances in the plate-like light guide body 2 and is reflected on a groove 17 of the prism. It advances in the plate-like light guide body 2 toward the lower surface 16, and is partially reflected on the reflection direction dispersing pattern 21 formed on the lower surface 16 of the plate-like light guide body 2. The reflected light passes the plate-like light guide body 2 again, and advances the light reflection pattern 19 before exiting outside. The intensity of light coming out of the light reflection pattern 19 is made even by providing the reflection direction dispersing pattern 21 with some angle. Thus, the intensity for a view point of exit light becomes even to suppress occurrence of interference fringes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
