PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device less in dispersion of a luminescent amount in one luminous layer without causing short-circuiting between an electrode and a cathode. SOLUTION: The display device comprises bank portions 112 each having first and second bank layers 112a, 112b extending onto the peripheral edge of the electrode 111, the first bank layer 112a extending further than the second bank layer 112b to the center side of the electrode 111 to form a first laminated portion 112e, the bank portions 112 each having an opening portion 112g, and functioning layers 110 each consisting of a positive hole filling/transporting layer 110a and aluminous layer 110b. The positive hole filing/transporting layer 110a has a flat portion 110a1formed on the electrode 111 and a peripheral edge portion 110a2formed on the first laminated portion 112e of the first bank layer.
