PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of difficulty in miniaturizing a power source circuit due to larger components such as an inductor and a capacitor since time constant of a smoothing circuit is required to be larger as a period occurs at the same frequency with an original low-frequency AC power source, related to the period in which a pulsating flow voltage becomes zero or a very low voltage at a circuit which rectifies and smooths a voltage acquired by stepping up or down the voltage of switching waveform using a transformer after the pulsating flow acquired by rectifying a low-frequency AC power source voltage is switched with a high frequency. SOLUTION: A transformer of a power source circuit is provided with a third coil. A circuit is provided in which a DC voltage acquired by rectifying/ smoothing a voltage generated at the third coil is added to a pulsating flow voltage. A period in which the pulsating flow voltage becomes zero or a very low voltage is removed. Since a small pulsating flow is superposed on a DC component, the components such as an inductor and a capacitor can be miniaturized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
