PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water intake tip device capable of inexpensively taking good quality sea water from a wide sea region and provide a deep water intake method by the water intake tip device. SOLUTION: A water intake tip pipe 3 which is provided with a water intake opening 1 and to which buoyancy is given by a floating member 2 is connected with a water intake main pipe 4 so as to swing freely to constitute the water intake tip device. Moreover, the water intake tip pipe 3 communicating with the water intake main pipe 4 is erected in the sea by giving rotation moment to it by the floating member 2 or a heavy bob 6 on the sea bottom in the water intake sea region to take in sea water at a predetermined height from the sea bottom through the water intake opening 1 provided in the water intake tip pipe 3.
