STABILIZED ALBUMIN PREPARATIONS

It is intended to provide albumin preparations which are free from viruses o r contaminating proteins, have a high safety without any risk of side effects and can be stably stored over a long time while showing neither changes in t he appearance nor decrease in the content. A stabilized albumin preparation produced by uniformly mixing a medium-chain fatty acid or its salt and a sulfur-containing amino acid or its salt with an aqueous albumin solution (a phosphate buffer, injection, physiological solution, etc. usable in administration as pharmaceuticals) and dissolving therein, and then processi ng the liquid mixture into a formulation suitable for parenteral administration such as a drip transfusion or an injection; and a process for stabilizing an albumin preparation.
