The ignition plug (1) comprises: an insulator (4) provided on its inner side with a central electrode, a tubular housing (5) surrounding an outer periphery of the insulator, an annular chamber section (6) between the housing and the outer periphery of the insulator, and a powder filling (80) filled in the annular chamber section to form a filled section (8). The powder filling consists of a number of filling particles. Before filling, 80 wt.% or more of the filling particles has a particle diameter of 100-1000 microns. An Independent claim is also included for an alternative ignition plug. Preferred Features: The particle diameter is 210-710 microns. The powder filling can contain an additional filler consisting of aluminum phosphate (Al2O3 . 3P2O5 . 6H2O), sodium silicate solution and potassium silicate solution.
