The invention relates to a method for analyzing a volume of communications data, which can be acquired on a network node of a communications network (NW1, NW2). According to the invention, the volume of communications data is fed into a client terminal (T1, T2, T3), the volume of communications data is transmitted from the client-terminal to a service computer configuration (SCON) while using the communications network, and a test of the implementation of protocol stacks is conducted inside said service computer configuration while accessing a central protocol database (DB) connected to the service computer configuration, after which a test result is transmitted to the client terminal.
