The method involves applying a control signal to the valve designed so that abrupt changes in the braking pressure are prevented and determining the hydraulic pressure drop across the valve from a knowledge of the control signal. The relationship between the pressure difference and the control signal value is a property of the valve. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for determining parameter representing hydraulic pressure difference across braking circuit valve.
