Production of a ceramic casting composition comprises crushing and liquefying a ceramic recycling material, and mechanically processing the liquefied ceramic composition produced in a vacuum to destroy any gas bubbles arising in the composition. Preferred Features: The liquefied ceramic composition is evacuated once or several times and then aerated. The ceramic composition is subjected to a vacuum of 200-500 mbar.
