<p>A life saving system, wherein a person (55) dropped from a ship (46) into water always carries a portable transmitter (41), for example, by suspending from a neck, a water detection sensor is disposed on the portable transmitter (41) and, at this point of time, a water detection signal is output from the transmitter and a transceiver (42A) receives the signal, an engine drive controller (45) connected to the transceiver (42A) controls the ship (46) to return to near the dropped person (55) and stops an engine (47) with the stoppage thereof by inertia also taken into account, the transceiver (42A) has also a GPS system for notifying a preset address of a dropped position and a dropped time through a base station (202) and, at the time of dropping into water, a life saving apparatus such as a life saving buoy is dropped and a ladder may be set so that the dropped person (55) can return unaided to a water transportation, whereby, even if a person drops into water from a running water transportation, the water transportation can stop at a position not so apart from the dropped person, and can notify the other personnel than the water transportation.</p> |
