The display system, especially for a display case or advertisement carrier, has at least one layer (1.1) of at least a partial transparency to carry an image in front, behind or on it. Further layers (1.2,1.3) with a least a partial transparency are arranged in sequence behind the first, together with cardboard picture frames (2.1-2.3) between them as spacers, and a non-transparent bottom layer (1.4). When assembled together a view from above gives a three-dimensional image presentation.
