The invention relates to an electric drive unit comprising a brushless d.c. motor and an electronic control module. The aim of the invention is to construct the electric drive unit, in particular the electric connection between the electronic control module and the brushless d.c. motor, which is configured as an external rotor motor comprising a stator and a rotor that revolves around said stator, in a simple manner. To achieve this, the electronic control module is attached directly to the underside of a motor support that is designed to accommodate the stator. In addition, the electric connection between the electronic control module and the stator is achieved by means of connecting elements that are fed through passages in the motor support. The invention also relates to an electric drive unit comprising a fan motor.
