The hand tool (10) consists of a female part (11), a male part (12) and a cable gripper enclosed between them. The female part is a cylinder of diameter 4-5 cm with an axial bore (14) into which a ferrule on the male part is threaded. The inner end of the bore is tapered (17) into a duct (16) through which the cable is taken. The taper is congruent with that of the enclosed cable gripper, which comprises a cylindrical ring extended into a set of jaws with conical tips.
