PURPOSE: An intrinsic instruction conversion system and method is provided to convert the intrinsic instructions, offered by ETSI(European Telecommunication Standards Institute), into the intrinsic instructions for the TI(Texas Instruments) 62 series DSP(Digital Signal Processor). CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. It is checked whether an ESTI intrinsic library within the EVRC(Enhanced Variable Rate Speech Codec) code is used in a case that data is input(S101, S102). If the ESTI intrinsic library is not used, a DSP execution code is generated and output(S103, S106, S107). If the ESTI intrinsic library is used, the ETSI intrinsic library is converted into the intrinsic instruction for the DSP by using an instruction conversion table, a DSP execution code is generated and output(S104, S105, S106, S107).
