METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHANGING PARENTAL LEVEL FOR PLAYING OPTICAL DISKS

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for changing a parental level for playing optical disks are provided to receive a password required for varying the parental level from an external memory. CONSTITUTION: A method for changing a parental level for playing optical disks includes a step(10) of judging whether or not the parental level requires to change, a step(16) of judging whether or not a password provided by an external memory of an optical disk player is right when it is judged that the parental level requires to change, and a step(20) of varying the parental level when it is judged that the password is right. When the password is not right, a user is informed that the password is right(18).
