Device for the continuous casting of molten metal, especially molten steel, into cast strips comprises axis parallel casting rollers (2, 3) rotating in opposing direction delimiting a casting gap (4) and positioned in a stand (1). The stand supports a lifting unit which moves the stand from a raised transporting direction into a casting position. Preferred Features: The stand is located with the casting rollers in its holding position in a device for processing the casting rollers. The stand is positioned on rollers which are guided on rails.
