PURPOSE: A pinion manufacturing method for a steering system of a vehicle is provided to improve the durability of a helical gear and shorten the manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A pinion manufacturing method for a steering system of a vehicle comprises : a pre-forming process including a cutting process cutting materials, transferred through a stretching machine, in a required length and forming a blank, and a forming process forming a punch side part of the cut material into a center of a head part and dies side part into an R part; an annealing process annealing the pre-formed materials to make a crystal grain fine and improve the ductility; a descaling and coating process descaling the rust from the annealed materials and coating the surface of the materials; and a cold-forging process forming a stopper of the head part at the punch side part(1) of the material using a hydraulic press and forming a helical gear(6) at the dies side part(2).
