An electrical connector (100) configured for connection to a substrate (400) includes a housing (200) which carries a plurality of electrical contacts. Each contact has a contact interface (215) interconnectable with a reciprocal contact interface carried by a substrate. A contact guide (300) has a plurality of apertures (305) positioned to align and mate with the contact interfaces (215) of the contacts. The housing (200) includes a single locking mechanism comprising posts (230) configured to mate with both the contact guide and the substrate for securing the contact guide and the substrate to the housing.
