A fluid separation centrifuge

A fluid separation centrifuge (39) for the separation of particulate matter from a flow of oil is designed with a disposable rotor assembly (45) including a molded plastic rotor housing (41) and a fluid separation device (46) positioned within the rotor housing (41). Included as part of the fluid separation device (46) is a unitary molded plastic base plate (40) which is designed and arranged with a peripheral lip (43) formed with a channel portion (43a) therein. In a cooperating manner, the rotor housing (41) is constructed and arranged with a molded plastic, generally cylindrical projection (42) which is designed and arranged to receive the channel portion (43a) so as to create a fluid-tight, sealed interface at the location of contact between the projection (42) and the channel portion (43a). <IMAGE>
