Plate press with heating and cooling system

The device is fitted with an upper (7) and a lower pressure plate (2) acting on the sheet (5) to be laminated. Both plates (2, 7) are provided with ducts (12, 13, 13a) for a coolant as well as for a heating fluid, which are joined to pumps, controlled by three way valves. In case of a temporary stop of the system the temperature of the pressure plates (2, 7) can be quickly adjusted in order to avoid an overheating as well as a long period required for warming up again.
