PURPOSE: A natural polymer, its preparation method and its use as an extracellular matrix, artificial organs, a catheter coating material and the drug delivery system are provided, to improve the biocompatibility and the biodegradability and to lower the cost compared with a synthetic polymer. CONSTITUTION: The natural polymer is a natural polysaccharide whose hydroxyl group is substituted with the carboxyl group having an acetyl group and the amide group combined with the adhesive molecule represented by the formula 1, wherein R is an adhesive molecule. Preferably the natural polysaccharide is pullulan, curdlan, chitosan or chondroitin sulfate. Preferably the group R in the formula 1 is represented by the formula 2 and is selected from heparin having a mass average molecular weight of 1,200 or peptide groups of sequence number 1, 2 and 3.
