PURPOSE: An oral formulation containing a pine pollen extract having excellent antimicrobial effect against Propionibacterium acnes and exhibiting comedo reducing effect is provided. Therefore, the formulation is used in treatment of acne, in particular by a woman sensitive to skin cosmetic without the risk of skin irritation. CONSTITUTION: An oral formulation contains a therapeutically effective amount of a pine pollen extract in the form of solids, liquids or jellies. The solids are any one form of granules, fine particles, powders, tablets and pills and the liquids are any one form of syrups, emulsions and suspensions. The effective dosage amount of the pine pollen extract is 10mg to 20g, based on 60kg of body weight in adult human patients.
