A single- or multi-phase detergent body containing surfactant(s), builder(s) and optionally also conventional additives is obtained by contacting a detergent shaped body with a surfactant-containing active mixture. An Independent claim is also included for the use of a mixture containing polyalkyleneglycol(s) and surfactant as an adhesive in the detergent.
