PURPOSE: An apparatus for fabricating a symmetric optical fiber grating using an improved reflective mirror is provided to prevent a double reflection phenomenon by moving periodically an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for fabricating a symmetric optical fiber grating using an improved reflective mirror includes an optical fiber movement portion(10), a mirror(18), a concave reflective mirror(20), a ring(28), the second convex lens(26), and the first convex lens(24). The optical fiber movement portion(10) moves an optical fiber(16), periodically. A center hole is formed at a center portion of the mirror(18). The optical fiber(16) passes through the center hole of the mirror(18). A center hole is formed at a center portion of the concave reflective mirror(20). The optical fiber(16) passes through the center hole of the concave reflective mirror(20). The ring(28) includes an aperture. The second convex lens(26) is installed at an upper portion of the ring(28). The first convex lens(24) is installed at the second convex lens(26).
