PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of a control cable 7 of a stacker crane caused by being hooked to a ladder 10. SOLUTION: The stacker crane comprises a traveling truck 3, a mast 4 raised on the truck and supporting a carriage 6 on which a load is placed so as to ascend and descend, and the ladder 10 wherein an interval H between a pair of longitudinal frames 10a vertically extending is wider than the width h of the mast 4. Lower portions of the longitudinal frames 10a of the ladder 10 are tilted in a direction decreasing the interval H between the both longitudinal frames 10a and in a downward direction, thereby releasing the control cable 7 assigned to the ladder 10 side along the tilted lower portions.
