PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a platform truck has insufficient torque, particularly insufficient for climbing up a slope or loading baggages. SOLUTION: The platform truck comprises a power unit including a motor, drive unit, front wheels, and steering wheel at the front of a pallet. When the steering wheel is turned, the whole power unit is rotated to rotate the pallet accordingly. The drive unit comprises a torque converter, a nonstop transmission, and a gear box where the torque converter is arranged above the motor and the nonstep transmission and gear box are arranged by the motor. A torque output from the motor is converted via the torque converter and nonstep transmission. The converted tongue is transmitted to the front wheels with the direction of rotation of the converted torque shifted in a normal direction or a reverse direction by groups of gears rearranged by a changeover operation.
